Schools closed in Lebanon over fear of Israeli bombing. Aljazeera reported this information on Monday (September 23) about the National News Agency (NNA).

The media office of Lebanon’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education said that all educational institutions in war-affected areas must be closed. The company directors have been given instructions in this regard. Safe attendance at schools is not possible due to constant attacks by Israel.

NNA said that instructions have been issued to warn the students about this. Apart from this, relevant educational programs are also said to be closed. The Ministry of Education announced earlier that the Lebanese University had announced the closure of its branches in the southern cities of Sidon, Nabatih and Tyre. Earlier on Tuesday (September 17), Lebanon closed schools across the country on Wednesday (September 18) after the Pager attack.

Last Saturday night, Israel attacked more than 400 locations in southern Lebanon. Then the country was forced to decide to close schools. This is seen as a severe blow to the education system.

Incidentally, recent walkie-talkie and pager blasts across Lebanon have resulted in massive casualties. After that, 37 people, including several senior commanders of Hezbollah, were killed in an Israeli attack in Beirut. Hizbullah has also counterattacked Israel’s Ramat David air base to take revenge. As a result, there is a threat of all-out war between Lebanon and Israel.

Aljazeera reported on Sunday (September 22) that this is the biggest conflict between the Israeli forces and Hezbollah since the start of the Gaza war.

In a statement, Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said the massive attack on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon was aimed at countering threats against Israeli civilians. Several warplanes were used in the attack.

Local Lebanese media reported that Israeli warplanes have carried out large-scale airstrikes in southern Lebanon since Saturday evening. Earlier on Friday, Hezbollah attacked the border area of Israel with 150 rockets. However, the extent of damage caused in this attack was not reported.

A statement from the Israeli military said that rockets fired from Lebanon have set fire to several buildings and houses in northern Israel. Israel’s emergency medical services agency said at least four people were injured by rocket debris. All three of them are residents of the northern Israeli city of Haifa.

Israel’s Civil Defense Agency has ordered the closure of all schools in the northern region following the Muhurmuhu rocket attack. The latest tension on the Lebanon-Israel border amid the Gaza war that has been going on for almost a year has spread widespread panic across Israel.
