Joypurhat The bus overturned and fell into the pond, injured – 10

At least 10 passengers were injured when the bus lost control and fell into a pond on the side of the road in Joypurhat.

 The accident took place on Sunday (September 15) around 11:30 in the Bankhur area of ​​the Jaipurhat-Hili road.

 On receiving information, police and fire service members reached the spot and conducted rescue operations.

 The injured are Delwar Hossain (30), son of Babu Mia of Kuatpur village of Panchbibi upazila of Joypurhat, Halim Begum (30), wife of Abdul Baten of Shimultali village, Alemon Bewa (80), wife of deceased Manik of Nakurgachi village, Liton (43), son of Abdul Mannan of Sarabai Para village, Liton (43) of Chhota Manik village. Nadira Begum (36), daughter of Nasir Uddin, Sanwar Hossain (45), son of Abdul Alim of Kuwatpur village, Jannatun (24), daughter of Ayub Ali of Bheramara upazila of Kushtia, Rebecca Begum (50), wife of Khaybar Ali of Bankhur village of Kalai upazila. Hasan Ali (36), Emran Hossain (28).

 Confirming the accident, the officer in charge (OC) of Joypurhat Sadar Police Station Humayun Kabir said that the bus named AB Paribahan was on its way to Joypurhat Bus Terminal from Hili with passengers, when it came to Bankhur area of ​​Joypurhat Sadar Upazila, it lost control and fell into the pond.

 The injured passengers were rescued at the scene and admitted to Joypurhat 250-bed general hospital. No casualties have been reported so far. Till now rescue work is going on.
