5 people bailed in the incident of beating up Hero Alam in Bogra

The court granted bail to five accused in the case of beating up content creator Ashraful Hossain Alam alias Hero Alam in Bogra. 

 The accused appeared in the Senior Judicial Magistrate Bogra Sadar Amli court on Sunday (September 15) and applied for bail. Court judge Sadia Afsana Rima granted them bail. 

 Bogra Court Inspector Mosaddek Hossain said that five of the eight defendants in the case appeared in court and applied for bail, and the court granted it.  

 The accused who got bail are Shamim son of Hatim Ali of Fanpore of Bogra Sadar upazila, Sabuj son of Dulal of Palli Kukrul, Ujjal son of deceased Ashraf Akand of Dogaria, Jahangir son of Samchul of Hazradighi and Nazmul alias Sabuj son of Mannan Mohuri of Baruj village of Gabtali upazila. 

 Regarding the bail of the accused, Hero said, there is no such thing as law in the country. Bail before arrest of the accused. Tomorrow I will talk in detail with the journalists at the Dhaka office about this matter.  

 Incidentally, on September 8, Hero Alam filed a case in the court alleging that he was beaten up during campaigning in Bogra-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) constituency in the 2018 National Parliament election and rigged in the by-election of the same constituency on February 1, 2023. He accused Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, former Member of Parliament of Bogra-4 Constituency Rezaul Karim Tansen and former Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal in the case. 

 Hero Alam was attacked by 5-7 youths when he was talking about the case with the journalists in the court premises around 12 noon that day. They beat him and held him by the ear. In this incident, on September 10, Hero Alam filed a case with Bogra Sadar Police Station mentioning the names of eight people.
