BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will return home this afternoon after being treated at the hospital for six consecutive days.
BNP Chairperson’s personal physician Professor AZM Zahid Hossain said this on Wednesday (September 18) morning.
He said, Madam’s medical board met last night and reviewed various reports on her physical condition. The board has decided that madam can go home now.
The BNP Chairperson was admitted to Evercare Hospital on the night of September 12. He was treated in the hospital cabin.
An expert medical board headed by Professor Sahabuddin Talukder has been treating Khaleda Zia for a long time.
79-year-old Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various complications including liver cirrhosis, heart disease, lung and kidney complications, arthritis, diabetes for a long time.
The BNP chairperson, who suffered from liver cirrhosis last year, underwent blood vessel surgery on October 27 last year. Khaleda Zia’s blood vessels were operated on by bringing three specialist doctors from the US.
He had to undergo continuous treatment in the hospital for more than five months when his health stabilized somewhat.
Khaleda Zia’s heart was implanted with a pacemaker at Evercare Hospital on June 25.
