At PanchBB railway station of Joypurhat, the students organized a human chain and agitation program to demand the suspension of the Chilahati to Khulna Express and Nilphamari to Dhaka Nilsagar Intercity Express trains.
At that time, the Rupsa Express train from Chilahati to Khulna was delayed by half an hour and reached the PanchBB railway station at 11:45 am. The agitating students stopped the train for an indefinite time. To stop the movement of the train, the agitators put up banners in front of the train and sleepers on the railway line and continued the agitation and protest program till the demand of stopping the train was met.
Meanwhile, hundreds of passengers of the express train from Chilahati to Khulna suffered due to the suspension of train operations. Later, the agitators held a meeting with the railway authorities and the local administration and they withdrew the agitation program after the assurance of the railway authorities. At this time, after a delay of about 2 hours, the train operations were normal again.
On Tuesday (September 17) this human chain and movement program was celebrated by the initiative of Panchbibi Merchants Association and students.

Taijul Islam said, “We have appealed to the railway authorities for a long time and talked to the officials, regardless of the Panchbibivasi party’s opinion. I did not get any response from them. For this reason, today we have held a student-janata movement program to demand the life of our Panchbibivasi, to stop the journey of Rupsa and Nilsagar intercity express trains.
Panchbibi Railway Station Master Jayant Chakraborty said that when the Rupsa Express train from Chilahati to Khulna arrived at Panchbibi Railway Station at 11:45 am, the agitators stopped the train and protested. At this time, all trains are stopped on this route. When the matter was informed to the local administration and railway authorities, they spoke to the protestors and after about 2 hours, all types of train movement on this route was normal.
